About the Role
We’re hiring a Utility Crew Foreman to lead one of our pipe crews installing water, sewer, and
storm utilities. This role is for someone who can work alongside their crew while also making
sure the job gets done safely, on time, and to spec. You’ll be the go-to leader for your crew in
the field, reporting directly to the project superintendent or project manager.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a crew installing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drain utilities.
- Read and understand utility plans, alignments, and profiles.
- Set grade, check elevations, and verify pipe installation meets specifications.
- Coordinate daily tasks, manpower, and equipment needs.
- Work hands-on with the crew when needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and enforce trench safety practices.
- Track production quantities and report progress to the superintendent/PM.
- Communicate with inspectors and ensure all work passes inspection.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in underground utility installation.
- Prior experience as a lead man or crew foreman.
- Ability to read civil drawings, pipe layouts, and grade stakes.
- Knowledge of trench safety, shoring, bedding, and backfill requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills — able to direct a crew effectively.
- Willingness to work hands-on in the trench as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to jobs across DFW/North Texas.
